Corey Phillips, MBA

CEO

Corey’s life has always been driven by defying systematical and generational barriers that greeted him at birth. Born to a teen single mother and raised by his grandparents, Corey was educated in the New York City public school system. After graduating from the University of South Carolina and receiving his MBA from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN, Corey has become a multidimensional career professional with experience in finance, accounting and human resources. Given his relatively rocky start, Corey enjoys giving adversity a blackeye at every opportunity.

As co-founder and CEO of Dream Launch, Corey is passionate about educating and encouraging young professionals and collegiate students to exceed life obstacles by reaching their professional or entrepreneurial dreams.  Corey strives daily in his professional career to assist diverse individuals of multiple professional backgrounds find their places in the corporate world and beyond.

Brian Brewer, MD, MBA

COO

Brian is a success story of the Arkansas public school system that has transcended the ranks of academia and became an academic physician.  A trauma surgeon, Brian demonstrates his leadership acumen in his roles as the Medical Director of Surgical Critical Care and Assistant professor of surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. These responsibilities offer Dr. Brewer tremendous insight on rigorous academic programs and early career advancement.

Brian’s coursework in top rated executive MBA courses offers added exposure to current practices in executive leadership. In addition, he serves on the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma career development committee and as a Big for Big Brothers, Big Sisters Inc.   Brian is well equipped and eager to provide the mentorship and necessary tools to help others achieve their goals.

Demetrius Richmond, PhD

Communication Coach

Demetrius Richmond, PhD is a highly self-motivated, creative, and versatile higher education scholar practitioner whose professional background includes teaching and administrative experiences across several realms:  Student support services, student development & retention initiatives (undergraduate & graduate), strategic planning, policy development, academic advising & support, on-campus programming, leadership development, student affairs administration, enrollment management, recruitment, diversity awareness,  graduate student retention & success, public speaking & human communication, staff management and supervision, and multicultural programming. He is a young professional with a passion to serve adults and he believes in the power of higher education and student support. It was during his teaching and graduate assistantships that he developed a commitment to working with and developing adults in higher education. 

Rickela Mayo, MBA 

CHIEF STRATEGIST

As a passionate and dedicated professional that started working at the young age of 14. Rickela Mayo is a graduate from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. She also received an MBA in Business Management and has over 25 years of business experience. She has worked across multiple industries from banking to higher education and now entrepreneurship. She exemplifies what it is to be a strong leader in the business world and within the community, serving on multiple boards in the states of Arkansas and Texas.

Rickela has a passion for working with students and young professional in educational and leadership development. She is the product of a hard-working mom with over 35 years in the medical field, and a military dad with 25 years of service, that is also an entrepreneur.

For over 15 years she has served the community in numerous roles:

  • Vice President, Board of Director, University Central Arkansas Alumni Association
  • Superintendent’s Advisory Committee, Dallas Independent School District
  • Allocation of Funds Education Panelists, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas
  • Board of Director, National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR)
  • Board of Director, Northwest Arkansas Head Start Programs
  • Charter Member for Jack and Jill of America Inc., Northwest Arkansas Chapter

Mrs. Mayo looks forward to coaching the next generation of young professionals into influential leaders within the workplace and the community.

Jeremy Owoh, EdD

EDUCATION CONSULTANT

As Assistant Commissioner of Educator Effectiveness and Licensure, Dr. Owoh is well-versed at the foundational elements required for success.  He has over 14 years of experience as a teacher, dean of students and administrator, having worked in numerous central Arkansas schools. He has also served as an adjunct instructor/professor for Pulaski Technical College at North Little Rock and Shorter College at North Little Rock, as well as an affiliate faculty member at Arkansas Tech University at Russellville and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Jeremy has dedicated his career to helping students to become effective communicators by developing reading and writing skills.   Jeremy is very active in the Little Rock community providing mentorship through programs including: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Arkansas Commitment and 100 Black Men.
